Data Protection Officer Service
Our outsourced Data Protection Officer (DPO) service helps Singapore businesses meet their obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), without hiring a full-time DPO. We work with a specialist data protection partner to put the right systems, policies and processes in place for your organisation.
Under the PDPA, every organisation must designate at least one DPO and make the DPO’s business contact information available to the public. PDPC also allows organisations with limited manpower to outsource operational parts of the DPO function to a service provider. Read more on PDPC’s official page: Register Your Data Protection Officer (DPO).
Who this is for
- Startups and SMEs that cannot justify hiring a full-time DPO
- Sole proprietors, partnerships and LLPs that collect customer or employee data
- Companies without in-house legal or compliance staff
- Foreign-owned companies with a Singapore entity and no local data protection specialist
- Businesses asked by customers or partners to show how they protect personal data
How it works
- Contact us: Tell us about your business and the personal data you handle.
- Onboarding: Our data protection partner reviews your current practices and is appointed as your DPO.
- Ongoing support: Your DPO puts the required policies and processes in place and remains your point of contact for data protection matters.
